Alicia Holzken is reigning WIBF Flyweight World Champion. The Dutchwoman started boxing at age nine. At the beginning of her career her father Paul was against it, but when he saw the passion his daughter put into practicing boxing, he supported her and became Alicia’s coach. As an amateur boxer the native of Eindhoven made it into the Dutch National Team and won bronze medals at the Youth World Championships and Youth European Championships.
The 23-year-old made her professional debut on December 1st, 2018 in Gummersbach at an event in which O1NE.Sport athlete Denis Radovan also performed. Seven months later, on July 4th, 2019, Alicia won the WIBF World Championship in just her 5th professional fight by clearly outpointing Xenia Jorneac. Now she holds the same belt as boxing legends Regina Halmich and Susi Kentikian before her. In January of 2020 Holzken signed a contract with O1NE.Sport.
